They say that life is a series of unexpected events, and sometimes, those events lead us to extraordinary places. Such was the case when I received an invitation to be a guest on Vidyut Jammwal’s acclaimed online video series, X-Rayed. As a martial arts enthusiast and a die-hard fan of legendary stuntmen and martial artists like Jackie Chan, Scott Adkins, and Tony Jaa, being part of this show was a real honour. Vidyut Jammwal is a super talented action actor and a truly lovely and genuine guy.
My love for martial arts and action cinema has been an integral part of my life since I was a child. From watching Jackie Chan’s comedic yet breathtaking stunts to being awestruck by Scott Adkins’ martial prowess, and witnessing Tony Jaa’s electrifying moves, these icons have shaped my passion for the martial arts world.
Little did I know that my own journey would lead me to cross paths with Vidyut Jammwal, a modern-day action superstar who has carved his own niche in the industry with his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft. Vidyut’s performances in various action-packed movies had inspired me, and I admired his commitment to promoting martial arts as a way of life.
On the day of the interview, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by Vidyut himself. His down-to-earth nature and genuine kindness put me at ease instantly. It was evident that he was not just an accomplished actor and martial artist but also a person with a sincere interest in connecting with others who shared his love for the art form.
As the conversation unfolded, we delved into the inspiring stories and contributions of martial arts icons like Jackie Chan, Scott Adkins, and Tony Jaa. It was exhilarating to exchange thoughts with Vidyut, who also admired and respected these legends for their immeasurable impact on the world of action cinema. Sharing our memories of watching their movies and how they influenced our journeys as martial artists created an instant bond between us.
Throughout the interview, I found myself not only admiring Vidyut’s achievements as an actor and martial artist but also appreciating his humility and genuine personality. It was clear that he was passionate about creating a platform like X-Rayed to celebrate martial arts and showcase the incredible talents that lie within the community.
It would be so epic to one day work on a film with Vidyut, one of my good friends Nathan Barris had the pleasure, I look forward to what the future holds and I hope it allows us super passionate creators spread the love and passion for movement around the world.
